Dr. Purser’s Pro7 Genetic Health Profile for Children and Dr. Purser’s Pro7 Genetic Health Profile for Adults identifies scientifically validated genetic SNPs in seven different areas of health.
Each of the 7 areas tested provides critical information for:
SNPs stands for Single Nucleotide Polymorphisms which may also be referred to as mutations. Our personalized Nutrigenomic Testing looks at 55 + gene polymorphisms. We test for ones that are affecting the health of your child now or can affect his or her health in the future. Significantly, we offer personalized treatment plans to address each of the polymorphism after consultation.
The genes tested include those that are related to sugar sensitivity (children), gluten sensitivity, predisposition to ADD or ADHD, aggressive inflammation, increased risk of Autism, anxiety, depression, energy, aggressive behavior and much more.
We also examine those genes that can predispose your child to athleticism, increased motivation, concentrated focus, and protection from toxins in our environment. In all instances, guidance is provided to help your child or you avoid the pitfalls of certain genetic mutations and take advantage of the benefits of some genetic mutations.
How Is This Test Performed?
You need only swab the inside of your child’s cheek (or your own) with a soft bristled swab for one minute on each side. You place the swab (containing the DNA from the cheeks) in a self-addressed and pre-paid box and drop it in the mail. Results are generally available within ten days of the DNA sample being received at the lab.
The inside of your cheek provides the advanced technological lab the adequate amount of DNA to carefully access your genes. You then receive a complete analysis and personalized genetic report based on your child’s unique genetic profile.
